We have been learning about the Stations of the Cross.
Each child took a turn reading one of the Stations of The Cross. I recorded their voices for a special project that we want to share with you! The Stations of the Cross Plaques are from our Church. (Please excuse the background "noise" as our classroom is a busy place!) I finally got a chance to add the video of our Kindergarten Circus to the videos tab above.
Enjoy! The children did a great job with our Leprechaun- Guided Drawing lesson this week.
I discovered that some of the children left their leprechaun drawings at school on Friday- so I am posting them below. Our poem of the week is at the bottom of the illustrations. Have your child read it to you! I'm a little leprechaun dressed in green. Hiding in the shamrocks, I can't be seen. If you run and catch me, do you know, I am extremely proud of all of my students for the AWESOME job they did up on the stage today! Everyone worked hard and remembered their parts. It was amazing to see the way they worked together and put on an terrific show. We were happy to see many of our family and friends in the audience. Once again, these 5 and 6 year olds proved that little people can do amazing things!! I will be posting a few video clips in the next day or two!
WEATHER ALERT
Today St. John’s Catholic School will have a two hour delay today, March 5. Also, there will be no morning Kid’s Care. The above message was just sent out from Kathy Segna our school Principal. The Kindergarten Circus willl be performed as planned - TOMORROW (Wed. March 6th at 10:30am) The children love hearing stories from the Bible. We have been focusing on the different miracles Jesus performed. The children were paired up to work together on illustrating one of the miracles.
It is not always easy to share a drawing because people have different ideas of how they want things to look. The children did a great job sharing the task! I observed alot of cooperation & communication. We continue to look for and find the little miracles in each day! They are there if we take the time to notice them.
: ) Have a great day! |
