It is hard to believe that our Kindergarten year together is over. The end of the year is so bittersweet for me. As a teacher I welcome the children into my classroom (and heart) each fall as the parents often wipe away a tear or two. Then 9 months later I am the one wiping the tears away as our time together in Kindergarten comes to an end. These precious children have all grown so much in so many ways since September. I feel extremely blessed for being able to spend 9 months with my students, getting to know them, and watching them blossom into even more amazing young people. As I told the children, they will forever be in my heart! Even after you leave my class you will forever be one of my students & I will not forget you! I am always so delighted when a former student (or parent) returns to just say hi or sends me a note about what is new in their life or when they graduate from high school or college. Please keep in touch!
Our last day of Kindergarten was a lot of fun! (We all were so sad that Erin was sick today & was not able to celebrate with us.) We enjoyed ice cream, fun times on the playground and shaving cream on the tables. Most importantly we celebrated with lots of cheers and clapping for each student as they earned their well deserved Kindergarten Diploma. I am so proud of the accomplishments of each child in my class this year!!
As we said goodbye the children proudly wore their "First Grade Here I Come" headbands to let everyone know that they are so excited to go to 1st Grade! I hope everyone has a safe & awesome summer! I can not wait to see the children back at school in the First Grade line in the fall!
