Today is the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. The children learned that St. Francis worked hard to spread peace & love to all people & creatures of the earth. In honor of St. Francis, the children each picked out an animal to read to at quiet rest & read time. It was fun seeing and listening to the children read either the words or pictures to their little furry friends. In fact the children worked so well with the animals that they kept them out while they worked on writing color words as well! The children also worked on their own "laptop" today to help them become more familiar with the keyboard before we go up to the computer lab to type. They did a great job “typing” in all of their color words!
